This year the Show is being held on Saturday 3rd August.  We will be hosting the Scottish National Ryeland Show and there are classes for Shetland Sheep.  The schedule for dairy cattle, beef cattle, horses, Clydesdales, sheep, fleeces, goats, unaffiliated show jumping and BSJA show jumping is available now.  Click here to access it.  Full details can be found in the competitors section.  Entries close on Monday 1st July.

Entertainment will include Jez Avery, the return of The Sheep Show, Daffy Dill, a vintage machinery display, face painting, the band Disfunctional and Dumfries & Stewartry Foxhounds.

Competitors

The home and garden arts schedule including the classes for walking sticks is available by clicking on download schedule.  Paper copies are now available.

The schedule for dairy cattle, beef cattle, horses, Clydesdales, sheep, fleeces, goats, unaffiliated show jumping and BSJA show jumping is now available.  Entries close Monday 1st July.  Entries received after Monday 1st July and before Monday 8th July will be charged double entry fee.  NO entries will be accepted after Monday 8th July.

Cattle exhibitors – TB & BVD forms MUST be returned to the Secretary by 6pm on the Wednesday prior to the Show (31st July).  The forms are available in the entry form section.

Sheep exhibitors – The Suffolk Society will supply rosettes for the Male Champion and Female Champion for the highest placed Scottish male and female.

The Sheep Young Handlers is a qualifier for the South West of Scotland Champion Young Handlers at Eskdale Agricultural Show on 28th September 2019.

Mr Robert McKie, Castle Douglas will be judging the Bluefaced Leicester Crossing Type section.

Charges for 2019

Trade Stands

  • Stand of up to 9m in depth: £24 per metre frontage
  • Stand of 9.1m to 12m in depth: £30 per metre frontage
  • Stand of 12.1m to 15m in depth: £50 per metre frontage
  • Stand of 15.1m to 18m in depth: £60 per metre frontage

The minimum charge for a stand up to 4.5m x 9m is £100.00

Our catering is franchised and there are no spaces available.

Food Festival

  • £60 per 8’x8′ space if the application is received on or before 30 June 2018.  £70 per 8’x8′ space if the application is received after this.
  • A 6′ free standing table space is £30 per space.

Craft Tent

  • £30 per space

  • Full page £150 + VAT
  • Half page £100 + VAT
  • Quarter page £50 + VAT
  • Inside front cover £175 + VAT
