In 2018 the Show hosted the Scottish National Hereford Show and the Bluefaced Leicester Progney Show.
There were new classes in the sheep section for Kerry Hill and Blue Texel.
Entertainment included Pedal Power v Parkour, a vintage machinery display, a display by Dumfries & Stewarty Foxhounds, Daffy Dill, Douglas The Clown and the Young Farmers Tug O’ War.

Cheques should be made payable to Dumfries & Lockerbie Agricultural Society. Change of judge – the Highland Pony judge will be Ms Mary McCall Smith, Crieff, Mrs Angela Heginbotham, Kendal will be judging the Mountain & Moorland Ridden classes, Mrs Lyn Black, Glasgow will be judging the Working Hunter Ponies and Ms Audrey Lamb will be judging the Clydesdales.
Mr Mark Little, Langholm will be judging the Cheviots and Mr Robert Rennie, Kelso will be judging the British Berrichon.
Mr Donald Biggar, Castle Douglas will be judging the Aberdeen Angus and Any Other Beef Breed, Mr Malcolm Telfer, Stocksfield will be judging the British Blue and Prime Cattle, Mr Alasdair Houston, Lockerbie will be judging the Charolais, Simmental and Limousins.
