Despite wet weather a successful show was held at Park Farm on Saturday, 6^th August 2011 with very encouraging support from both town and country dwellers. The Society celebrated the 50^th show since the amalgamation of Dumfries and Lockerbie Societies with an exhibition of photographs and reports from past shows and displays of vintage machinery from the 1960s.

There were a large number of entries in all livestock sections and the Society was pleased to host the 25^th Anniversary of the Scotch Mule Association. Trade stands including the Craft Tent and Food Festival were very well supported.
